You can hire up to two more pawns in support roles, these are either in-game pawns that wander around or other people's main pawns from online. Pawns can have experience with places and enemies, so a pawn that done the mission you're on might warn you there are traps ahead or tell you about a treasure chest in the area, or tell you a weakness of a monster you're facing.
Gameplay seems like co-op play just because the pawn AIs are very active and quite smart. Not like most games where AI team mates are either idle most of the time or getting in the way. --- ~ PSN ID: ValorPhoenix ~ Raven [ / . \ ] Hubris ~ Bone Ravens "There are more defective users than defective systems."
I guess my feeling is that if someone wants co-op or mutliplayer, there are a LOT of games out there that cater to that need. Capcom is doing something different here, something unique, instead of just more of the same. --- "Tis a lie! Thy backside is whole and ungobbled, thou ungrateful whelp!"
