A calm, logical discussion regarding Multiplayer.

What you are trying to say is "The game does not have online multiplayer co-op function, so it sucks." But that's still just an opinion. Plenty of people think the game is good without the MP function. But if you really want to argue, the game doesn't suck because it has no MP. If the game had attempted to have MP function, but fails and creates a really horrible MP, then it does indeed suck. The game never had planned multiplayer co-op function from the very start, so it never was a feature to be considered, does not a quality that you can judge the game based on. Thus, your argument is invalid, please try again. By the way, if this is not the type of game you are interested in, are you just here to troll? This game will have Monster Hunter syndrome.. no story decent combat and add the no online.. makes it a sucky game. | |

While slightly disappointed that there is no multiplayer (which I found out within this topic today), I still find the game to be fun. Can't wait for it to be released so I can stare at you people jealously while I am poor. >.> | |

I have the impression (just a suggestion) that this game initially was designed whith multiplayer in mind, just like the phantoms in Demons Souls but, they did not achieve their goal so, they come whith this "paw" system, introducing it as an "innovative" "indirect" multiplayer system. I, personally, will play this game solo, because I do not see any fun in the AI (or VI, whatever) doing scripted actions during my gameplay. Maybe in the future we can see some sort of DLC multiplayer expansion, kind of "closed arena" where players can coop against monsters. I liked the gameplay in the demo. I pretend to buy this game (not at launch). But I think a coop system would be a cool addition, certainly drawing lots os Demons/Dark Souls; monster hunter fans. Just my calm, logical, opinion. | |
Ok, first I will say I am an online gamer, I get the most enjoyment out of a game when I can get online and get my friends into a party and start kicking whole sale ***. Yes, I am disappointed that this epic looking game will not have that option, but the lack of MP is a small price to pay for a game that is innovative and well done. People need to stop being so short sided on both sides of the argument, lack of MP does not make it a crappy game, I look for multiplayer on most games I buy yet this will prbly be in my top 10 as long as they don't mess the story up. Elder scrolls did just fine without it and this game looks to be, in my opinion, even better than elder scrolls. At the same, people who hate on the people who want the MP...just because you don't care for it doesn't mean you have to be a, for lack of ability to use a better word, jerk about us wanting the MP aspect. All in all it looks like an awesome game, can't wait to play it, disappointed no MP, oh well. Maybe if they have a sequel we can have a multiplayer aspect, even if they just do like mass effect 3 and have a seperate part, not involved in the story, for grouping up with friends and stabbing a giant troll in the face. | |
Just look at the trailer seems pretty story-iffic to me. Unless one of the common events is to see a king try to strangle/molest his princess daughter --- 'Ere we go! | |

Yeah, they've been saying since it was first announced (about 2 years ago, I think?) that it's not multiplayer and was never intended to be. You don't make a game with an inventory system that pauses the action if you're aiming for a multiplayer experience. --- "I want my meals to think for myself" | |
