How in earth did this game get such low review scores from some?

It has a lot of flaws, and lacked a bit of polish, i think most are being fair, it's just people have gotten too used to all the "AAA" titles getting 9.999-10 scores, despite them also being really flawed games and fans being unhappy with them.

To much tedious walking. I don't know why they have to force us to do that. The worst part is that they already have a fast-travelling system but they lock it until ng+.

That's only partly true.

Skyrim had a LOT more flaws than this does, yet some people pretended that those flaws didn't exist, and gave it a high score as if the game was perfect.

It's not an "opinion", when you're denying reality.
