does anyone else think that magic archer's skills for their bows are kinda harsh towards the pawn i like just mastered the magic archer vocation and didnt read the full thing for the great sacrifice skill thinking it was gonna be just like one for the daggers that it was going to do damage to you and i'm fight a drake and as soon as the skill gets full to fire i see my pawn go down i'm like WT* just happened and try to revive her and and i cant

i would expect assassin to have a skill like that but magic archers apparently hate their pawns i thought magic archer was cool when i first started now because of that skill i'm like screw that vocation never again

I went into Magick Archer after going Strider > Assassin > Ranger and then realized the bow was magic based and I was doing horrible damage >_<

Yea, I went there.

Magick Archer has IMMOLATION.

Reason enough to play the vocation.

So it's worth sticking it out as a MA after playing pure melee? Will my offense gain back its strength? My daggers are powerful right now but my bow is horrendus with damage.

With the MA's bow, you won't be really effective if you've been playing pure melee since it is purely magic based damage.

If you plan on playing as an MA at level 200 after being pure melee beforehand against normal enemies before post game as well as in post game, you'll be fine once you get the more powerful magic bows upgraded and dragonforged. But don't expect to be effective against the online Ur-Dragon

That really sucks because MA is probably my favorite class so far. It's that simple stat change for the bow that makes it not worth it for this playthrough however....guess I'll save it for my next.

Eh, I didn't go into sorc for the magic until 80~ after playing pure melee classes and I do pretty decent damage. Currently my magic stat is only 10 less than my physical attack.
