Official Pawn Sharing Club #46

#1Jules_McGrulesPosted 10/4/2013 11:27:29 AM
A bit of a liberty on my part admittedly, but, the last one was essentially on life support for days now. XD I thought I'd take the initiative.

This Club is about sharing pawns among active players, getting each other RC, knowledge, gear and feedback on the pawns.

TO INTERESTED NEW PLAYERS:
This club works both ways: we hire you, you hire us. This thread is not for promoting your pawn once, it's meant to be an active community, where you are visible from time to time, letting the rest of us know how much RC/knowledge you got from us, with whom you are travelling, etc.

Most of us won't hire your pawn if they never see you again here in this thread, best way to get hires is being active in the thread and hiring others! A good start is by introducing yourself and your pawn(s).

THE CLUB LIST:
If you want to become a member of the Club add the following info to the list:

GFAQ nick | PSN | Pawn name | Pawn level | Pawn vocation | plays DD or DA

New players are to add their info at the bottom of the list.

DA players are on the first sheet, DD players on the second sheet: so use the right sheet!

Link to the Club List:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/lv?key=0AsTMlexUVqS8dGhUX1IzcTllckZabnhJdW9TNUsyYUE&f=true&noheader=true&gid=0

Please use the List View! The Spreadsheet View should only be modified by experienced members as simple mistakes can negatively effect the list. The List View is easy to modify and edit; itís also very practical for searching and sorting names, levels, etc.

UPDATES TO THE LIST:
You should update your info on the list on a regular basis, adjust your pawn's level, vocation etc. when it changes.

If you take a break from DD/quit playing, please take yourself off the list and add it again if you come back.

It would be nice to keep the list only full of active players without the need for someone to remove inactives.

LIMIT OF 2 PAWNS PER MEMBER:
We limited the pawns on the list to 2 per member. Please place your accounts right under one another as this makes it easier for others to figure out they both belong to you.

ACKNOWLEDGING A HIRE:
An important duty, post a little thank you about who rented your pawn, what RC you got, what knowledge your pawn learned and what gift you received, this is important because through these infos and the post in the thread others are able to see you (and those who hired you) are active and are thus more likely to rent your (and their) pawn.

Details of hires show up when you stay at an inn: Press "square" in the "hire window" which shows the Arisenís name, PSN and RC you got, this will show you more detailed information, cycle through it with R1.

OTHER INFO ROW:
In the "Other Info" row we add something we want for our pawn may it be RC, bestiary or area knowledge stars, special items etc. It's not for something you need right away, it's just to display what other members might gift you or could help you with.

HIRING HIGHER LEVEL PAWNS:
You can hire higher level pawns for free by sending a friend request to their owner; once accepted they cost 0 RC.

Note: there is an exp penalty for renting pawns above your current level that caps at 25 levels above your Arisen. Additionally, there is an exp bonus applied if you rent pawns below your current level that caps at 25 levels below your Arisen.

Most people on this board with their PSN in their signature will accept a friend request so don't be shy, but best write that you are from the Sharing Club.

Also consider putting your own info in your signature, as this will make it easier for others to hire you when all your info always right under your posts. It's also the best way to promote your pawn.

Happy Hunting Everyone!

Thanks. Alas, it isn't as fun as before when multiple people were vying for the "kill" all at once. I wish a resurgence of popularity was in the future for DD, but at least plenty of new people are picking it up all the time. Also, there was a time when the OPSC threads moved at breakneck speed and were damn near impossible to follow. Very lively. X)

I've been borrowing Nightshade's two younger sisters. These two are simply incredible for their level, besides a sweet XP boost, they also bring the pain to boot. X)

After releasing them I'll pick up Durske and Athena.

Shondra is now level 70, and her old weapon has been gold rarefyed. 30 more levels and I can make her a Ranger. XD

Here's a stat for new players like me wondering how much of a difference level makes to RC.

I took paasky's Laura and Lara both for some Daimon farming [I think 3 runs]. Laura was the only one not 200 at 70.

Laura got 188,316 RC.
Lara got 555,683 RC.

Arya finally beat Grigori on Hard Mode for another Abyssinal Coat and got some DFed gear from her Arisen. I've decided to level her up for now than keep her at 51, mainly because farming Daimon on my main gets boring after a while. Besides, she HAS to beat Daimon2.0 on hard mode. Took Hillbilly's pawn [name escapes me] from first trip to Gran Soren with Hydra head all the way to end of Grigori. Should get some decent enough RC.

I'll be heading to everfall next to farm some Wakestones and bestiary stars. Most likely take Axel and some healer mage from OPSC. BTW, why is there such a dearth of healer mages?

If I had a girlfriend, let alone one who sang, I don't know how I'd find time to Dogma.

There used to be a major shortage of good Mages in the early days(IE beginning of the year), so I'm glad to see that there's a dearth (funny word XP) of reliable Mages to be found. That is what you meant by dearth, yes? Or am I definition-challenged in this case? lol

Gotta head to work soon, I think I'd sooner shoot myself in the foot, had I a gun. Thankfully I'm off tomorrow.

Sadly, dearth means lack or shortage. I freelance as writer/editor [mostly for friends] every now and then, so such words tend to slip into my daily usage, exacerbating things for others. And before you ask what exacerbate means, you should watch Shaun of the Dead.

Lol yeah it is hard to find time to play. I get up early for work so i usually play before i have to leave. lol

We've lived together for over 3 years now so it makes it even harder to find time to play. We're pretty busy.

Released Genevieve and Lily. Both pawns were outstanding on our 3 Daimon runs. We were having so much fun, we decided to off the Dark Bishop as well. I'd have either of them on my team any day.

Man that RC penalty is brutal. Holy crap.

I dunno. It's always been that way. Only thing I can think of is that people prefer renting a Mage instead of having their own Pawn be one. It's actually better now than it was even a few months ago, with my Luna, conspiraicies' Nasty Man, and your Nemo. Prior to those three, I think rockyterrain's Willow was about the only Mage owned by a really active member for quite a while.
