I'm talking people like Vega, Adon, El Fuerte and Bison. Them bouncing everywhere confuses the hell out of me and I don't know general strategy against them. I'm new and I've only really delved in Cody, that's it. Any help? :( --- Xbox Live GT: The Vuvu
It really depends. All of those characters play so differently. I play Vega and what works against me is putting lots of pressure since he doesnt have a reversal. Or an anti air. --- PSN-block-man-x / SSF4 Mains Vega/ MVC3 Cptn America Akuma zero/Dante Wolverine sentinel. SFxT: Vega
I also play Vega and often fall apart under constant pressure. Cody's pretty good at keeping the pressure on too. Another thing that'll work is cross-up attacks since it'll also mess up any back charges.
For the wall dive, if its a regular one, an FA will work on most Vegas, unless they're really good at getting the Izuna drop. --- PSN: umataro42 / SSF4 - Main: Vega YT: http://www.youtube.com/user/UmataroM42
A whiffed DP can lead to you getting hit with an EX FBA from afar or a cosmic heel into ST or even splendid claw if it's up close. --- PSN: umataro42 / SSF4 - Main: Vega YT: http://www.youtube.com/user/UmataroM42
It's a tricky fight for Cody, but I'd say this matchup is even. Vega has the tools to zone Cody out in the air and the ground; you'll have to work REAL hard to get past his crouch strong range. Then you have to consider Cody's weakness on wakeup since all Vega's safe jump setups work on him. Vega has a Kara throw and superior footsies but he's also free on wakeup which is good news for Cody. So depending on how solid said Vega's defense is, he may crack under pressure. I usually end up blocking and looking for frame traps if Cody gets in, no reason at all to crouch tech especially against him. --- SSF4: Vega PSN: Supreeme_Allah
Blanka is pretty straight forward once you know his gimmicks. Gen is only a problem if you can't block. Seth is just good, explosive damage, hard to catch, and makes you guess. Maybe he hasn't played any good ones. --- SSF4: Vega PSN: Supreeme_Allah
