To be honest i'm not sure if you will love this game or not.
The game has plenty of skills and jobs to play through it with 10 classes unlocked from the start of the game with 4 more unlocked after you beat the game depending upon route that you take - I don't know about transformations of classes at all. Karfa is one of the jobs that is unlocked after you beat the game.
Monster cards exist and are gained after you defeat enemies in the game, it seems (at least to me) to be random when you get what card.
The story is well written and seems to follow a rather political plot line of two nations that each nation believes they were the one who saved the world from destruction in the past, though the truth of this seems to be lost to time. Your main character for lack of a better term seems to be a mercenary working as a monster hunter. During the game you can choose to side with either nation during missions or continue to spend time fighting along side your monster hunter friends in the mercenary group. My apologies if I've gotten any of this information wrong but its the basic jist of the story. --- Swift as the wind and harder to catch. Thats the faeries for you. PSN: TwilightSunstar
10 of the 14 classes are 2nd Trans. The rest is the console-exclusive Dark Knight and Shaman, also there's Kafra and their male counterpart Jonda who play like Rifle and Dual-Guns Gunslinger respectively.
And the story has a fair amount of humor in the middle of its seriousness. Especially in the sidequests. --- - Official Drossel K. Schall of every Tales of boards - Falcom husbandos are the best husbandos~
