The core market is basically for the taking right now for Nintendo

-MS is focusing on the, way too much
-Sony is of course had those online problems
-Nintendo fans are itching for some more games
-Cafe is almost definitely coming out the gate first
-Nintendo seems to be intent on winning the core market back, and gaining 3rd party

So, with all those points, I think this is going to be a perfect storm if Nintendo is willing to show a lot of games, and show their console's potential at E3. The core are ripe for the taking!

Indeed. Hopefully Nintendo gains some good support, and still makes a killing like the Wii.

I think Cafe could capture both core and casual markets, if they play their cards right with mix of innovation (touch screen controller, etc) and "hardcore" (graphics, online, etc).

Here's hoping for Cafe success!

The problem is that pretty much every "core gamer" already owns a PS3 or 360, so Nintendo are going to have to show a lot more than ports and the odd timed exclusive to stand a fighting chance here. I don't think for a second that they have what it takes.

I have this feeling that Sony and MS's casual offerings will tank here this next year.

Move was a non-starter. The Kinect star wars game just looks terrible and may well hasten its slow demise.

The revelation of the MS patents for the Kinect 2 didnt help out the device at all.

If MS or Sony want these devices to succeed then they had best come up with some AAA titles. Me-too isnt enough at this point because they are fighting on Nintendo's home turf.

Nintendo on the other hand seems to be moving back more towards the core and do not appear to have forgotten their lessons from the Wii era.

Of course, they could blow this theory all to heck tomorrow.
Yea, I thought so.

Well, MS's conference was an all time tank.

It'll be tough to get that bandwagon rolling, but with a really big showing here, and continued showings all around, it may just happen.
What kind of world to we live in. Where love is divided by hate. Losing control of our feelings. We all must be dreaming this life away in a world so cold.

I must say I am highly disappointed in MS. Nintendo looks like the default winner this year no matter what they do.

Looks like..... serious lack of content outside of Halo 4/CE Anniversary, Gears 3, Forza 4 and MW3 since most of that was already expected......everything else was just a bloody Kinect-fest.
