I'm hoping it's GCN backward compatible since the new controller seems to have all of the GC controller functions.

It worries me they didn't say it though. Did anyone even ask yet?

I'm actually hoping against GC compatibility.

The Wii extended the price life of GC games too much. If the current gen doesn't support it, prices will finally drop enough for me to start collecting classics.

Gamecube games are Virtual Console bound on this system ( my guess at least)

Why would you be the only one? GC is the best console nintendo has ever released and it had the best games.

I have more cube games than wii games, so of course, I am also hoping for GC compatibility.

how are they supposed to make money if they arent constantly forcing you to buy remakes?
