I hope the wii U is 50x stronger than the 360 or ps3

The probably ARE doing a good amount better. We really haven't seen anything yet except that bird tech demo which IGN says is reaally weak compared to the one they saw which is "lightyears ahead"

lol why wouldn't it be the zelda demo was superior to anything that ive seen on ps3/xbox.

lol'd. I'll admit that I hate Uncharted, but the Zelda Demo wasn't even as good as the toilet paper that Uncharted 2 wipes it's *** with.

I think you need to play UC2 again if you seriously believe it's that much better than the Zelda Demo.

I think when a game like Battlefield 3 or Batman Arkham City will be games that are released early in the Wii U's life it tells us something about the power of this system. These games are being released on the 360 and PS3 well into their life cycles when their potential as pretty much been reached. So these games may only scratch the surface of what the Wii U can produce. I think Nintendo knows that it has to have better hardware than any current gen consoles its just a question of how much better.

I think I have an analogy that describes how ridiculous this is.

For argument's sake, lets say there's such a thing as a power unit for computational strength. And that the PS2 was conveniently exactly 1 Power Unit. Then according to the article, the PS3 was 50 Power Units. This is an increase of 49 Units. To make something 50x stronger than that, you would need to make it have 2500 power units, which is an increase of 2450 Units. While technology does Get better each year, it doesn't get better by THAT much. Technically the same difference in power would be something that's 100 Power units strong, but that's only a 2x difference geometrically. This is a much more reasonable expectation, but even then, Graphics are starting to Plateau, so it may not even be necessary to make something that strong. Something even just 1.5x the power of the PS3, which is even more reasonable, would be significantly more powerful, and could be set at a reasonable price point.

Yeah, let's wait until the game releases and we see actual, not pre-rendered gameplay. I could simply counter your argument by saying that the 2008 "gameplay" trailers of FFXIII looked better than anything they showed on the Wii U.

Actually, The zelda demo was being rendered real-time, at least the one in the demo booths. You can change aspects of it with the controller to show off different graphical capabilities while the demo was playing, like making it night time to show shadows, or looking at it from different camera angles and whatnot.

The Zelda Demo was rendered in real time and it was at 1080p and running at 60fps.

Truthfully I just want Nintendo's Wii U to stay graphically, computationally, to stay on par or very close to on par with sony and microsoft's next gen consoles. Sort of like how the ps2 was the weakest of the three but it still got the best software out there. That's why I want it to be powerful.

I actually want 3rd party games to be developed and have it taken seriously. In my opinion, Nintendo has the best 1st party games. Combine that with actual 3rd party games that isn't shovelware and you've got something amazing.

Also it would be really nice if it was also a multimedia device but I HIGHLY DOUBT IT. Basically, I want the equivalent of the ps3's multimedia capabilities slapped onto the wii U
