It's really hard to make the distinction in this day in age. I do 3D modeling for a living and I wouldn't even be able to tell you. That's with looking at the demos too. There are so many factors to consider....texture/light maps, shaders, CPU, GPU, engines that support it, etc. You can't just watch two different videos and say, "oh that hardware is more powerful than that one". Doesn't work like that. The difference is fairly obvious, to be honest. Though... it really depends on what we'll see in the games. I think, for the first 1-2 years, we'll prolly see the best versions of PS3 and 360 games on it, but they'll only be slightly better. I doubt they're even gonna make them 1080p natively for the Wii U. Endgame posted... all these topics about people arguing about the graphics are part of the reason why I have no hope left for console gaming why are the game companies focusing so much on graphics, which have got to be really expensive to produce at this point, and less on making the games themselves actually good? you people, that's why Console developers focus on giving developers the best tools to work with and advance the console industry so we can have good games. There is really no point in making a new console if you don't want better graphics. Would you rather us not have better graphics and stick with one console the rest of our lives? Sounds kind of boring honestly. I do put gameplay over graphics but I do expect better graphics as time goes on. | |
