Even though we don't know them, it might be safe to assume it's going to be the bare minimum to step above 360 and PS3. I don't know what this entails, but Nintendo is known for innovative ideas. Not power. Hopefully either Sony or Microsoft will juice their next console with some anabolic power so gamers who can't afford a high-end pc can get it else where. I respect Nintendo for their innovation, but, in addition to new ideas, gaming need faster clock speeds and more memory to advance. --- You know what they say about guys with big shoes.. big feet You know what they say about guys with big feet... big socks
If Wii U used power7 cpu even at the very minimum it'll completely destroy ps3's cell cpu. --- This is how the Wii U sounds. LMAO! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JElywbkSbY

RIGHHHHHHHT you do know SNES had chips added to it to give it more power then anything sega could do back in the day. you do also know that N64 is stronger then PS1. and gamecube is way stronger then PS2 (Xbox came out later thus i wouldnt count it) wii was the only system they kinda went backwards with (or not as big of a jump forward) --- ErrorSupply 3-D DS -OMG! Considering how fast computer hardware advances, and how fast the hardware prices drop, if the Wii-U is *not* more powerful than 5-to-6 year old consoles, then Nintendo will be ripping us off no matter what the list price. --- Religion is like spaghetti: either stiff and fragile, or wet and limp.

Just curious, do you even know what a processor is, yet anything about the actual hardware besides the name of the IBM POWER7? It seems like it's thrown around so often and people like yourself make claims with no actual knowledge. Quite humorous. --- | CPU: i7 Extreme @ 3.46GHz | Case: XPS 730x | OS: W7 Ultimate | GPU: 2 x ATI Radeon 5870HD in CrossfireX | Ram: 8GB DDR3 @ 1066 MHz | PSN ID: d33z681

While that's true, I do know quite a lot about CPU's and their architectural specifications. And unless Nintendo uses a severely underpowered POWER7 It should in fact far outdo the cell. If they where going to do that though, I don't see why they would not just go with a POWER6 as it's more affordable for the power output. --- "Never been righteous, though seldom were wrong"
Almost no one on these forums knows the first thing about hardware. Granted, most won't admit it, and will rant and rant and rant with the expectancy that that makes them somehow right, but people here just pick up a console and say "IT HAS TEH BEST GRAFIX OF ANY CONSOLES AND AMAZING BECUZ *random marketing buzzword*", basically. They often don't think much for themselves. --- {Phenom II 945 c3|Hyper 212+|Asus M4N75TD|G.Skill Ripjaws series|MSI GTX460 Hawk|Antec TP New 650w} http://i.imgur.com/mMSLs.jpg The Power of Radeom!

They often don't think much for themselves. Yeah that's true. However like I said, the knightimex is actually right. I mean the processor does not determine the graphics. And graphics are a very generic term. Basically the GPU generates the graphics, and the CPU only has to do with processing the threads of code that the game needs executed. But then a Radeon HD card is far and away better than either of the current machines GPU's. Both those are confirmed, so now it's just down to how much RAM they use, and what kind --- "Never been righteous, though seldom were wrong" |
