But no, it'll never happen and there's no reason to. Wouldn't add anything to the game.

Though it definitely happened at the end of Paper Mario. Just look at that romantic scene with the fireworks going off, and tell me they didn't slip inside after the screen faded to black. But they certainly weren't going to show it "on camera" as it were.
