While what most of us know about Nintendo’s direct dealings with third parties is either one-sided or complete conjecture it seems that there is some sort of fatal flaw in the way that they deal with other companies. For the past few console generations Nintendo is always the company that ends up left in the dust towards the back half of the generation in terms of their party cooperation. With the Wii U looking to have the technical aspects of what the modern game developer wants in the game system, they need to “make nice” with some of their long estranged contemporaries. Whether it means not grouping first party stuff alongside third party games, helping with advertising, or incentives to bring their games over, Nintendo can’t afford to be their normal selves.


Wont happen, Nintendo has had ample chances to make up and fix burned bridges, but everyone knows just how badly they treated 3rd parties in NES and SNES days, they really pissed off alot of companies. Factor in Nintendo fans not really buying 3rd party games and this will never change.

Sony and MS, whatever you may think of them, still treat 3rd parties like gold and give them whatever they need to sell their products

Nintendo needs to push more thrid party games. If that means acting like it's a nintendo game and showing it at nintendo events they need to do this. So many awsome games for the DS got over looked and alot of those games were better then or up to nintendo quality. How hard is it for them to hear from the fans and reviews this game is really good and get behind it and give it a push to help sales.


Nintendo is still out for Nintendo and this will not fly if they are looking for 3rd parties to keep making games on there system.
