Way to briefly get my hopes up that this was going to be an actual game.

It's definitely a nice demo, both from a technical and an aesthetic standpoint. If there was a game based on it I'd buy it.

Yeah, I enjoy interesting or different game ideas. A game where you play as a bird seems like an interesting concept, it's not something that's been explored much.

I enjoyed the PS2 games "Finny the Fish" and "Dog's Life" for similar reasons.

Actually I haven't but it's definitely a similar concept. I guess I'm just not as interested in scorpions and spiders.

That video better demonstrates what that demo was supposed to be. The garden demo did flex the muscles of the non-finished console, but it was the controller that was supposed to be the focus.

If this wasnt slapped together, it would have been nicer to have the exact viewpoint of the bird on the the screen of the pad, but the stationary view points where you could turn almost in any direction to see the world as if it was surrounding you was nice while the screen focused on the bird.

It was also nice to see the weather affects actually visible on the controller screen on top of being able to view things as if you were standing there in that world.

It speaks a lot of what the new console will be capable of and what interesting games that might come from that.

Holy crap i didnt actually realise that there was that much going on on the controller also.

With 2 seperate camera angles streaming at once, this has alot of promise. Imagine playing a game like fightnight using the controller or tv for the normal camera and the other screen runs the same fight but as if its on tv. running replays live punch stats etc all without interupting the gameplay. so the viewers watching get a life like boxing experience on the tv

Yeah, that would be amazing. Keep working on this, Nintendo!

Incidentally, I have determined that this game should be called "Flight". A simple title fits well with the peaceful aesthetic they've got going there.

Cue speech about how since the dawn of time man has wanted to fly and that's analogous to how this new controller lets us do things that we've never been able to do before blah blah blah.

If this game was ever made though. its a big ask but i wouldnt want it to be simple. simple looking maybe but id like to be able to control alot of the bird. flight, walking, picking up leaves etc also i would like realistic flying physics. Maybe tap the triggers to flap both wings hold them both in to tuck the wings against the bird etc.
