Some people are angry that Nintendo's coming out with something pretty cool, so they're trying to shove the Wii back into people's faces.

"Okay, well the Wii U has an interesting controller but... WII FIT ON WII! Remember that?! That was horrible, Nintendo sux!"

This. Since Nintendo refused to give us any information, and what they did give us sucked
(trololololol downgraded dev kits trololololol, show them 2 games and Wii Play U), we are using the Wii to forecast what might happen with U.

If anything, Nintendo is BEGGING to be hated.

It just shows that people are already hopeful that the Wii U will be better than the Wii. I'd say that's a good sign.

I just think too many gamers are close minded & fail to move with the times they can't fathom it so the have to spout negativity.

You show what's available. It's still in development. Witnessing tech demos gives us an idea, which leads to pondering, which leads to future sales. Nintendo isn't begging for anything.
