You (almost?) NEVER hear about any game features cut because of CPU or Graphics card restraints in the modern era console game, but there are always things cut because of memory issues for consoles, and even without these features, RAM directly.
Don't give me this "it can be optimized for a console/doesn't need Windows", it would still be less than should be expected. If the Wii U only has 1 GB of general RAM, I will fully agree with anyone who says it isn't a full generation leap. PS1 has 2MB, PS2 has 32MB, PS3 had 256 MB of general ram (x16 and x8) while the Xbox had 64MB general poll and the 360 512MB (x8)

TottentanzPosted 11/30/2011 6:42:12 PM | Just going to throw this out there, but there is more than one type of RAM which the Wii U is supposed to be getting a mixture of eDRAM and GDDR5 to handle the big stuff and maybe GDDR3 for some dedicated use with the CPU. |

No, not really. You could still do 1080p with great graphics and only 512 MB of RAM available to the gpu. Some PS3 games run at 720p, with great graphics, and the PS3 only has 256 MB of VRAM.
