This system NEEDS at LEAST 2, hopefully 4, GB of RAM

What matters most is the ease of use for developers. It really doesn't matter if they can pack a gazillion GBs of RAM or the GHz the processors are running at, if the dev team has to jump through hoops on fire while fending of lions to make it work, it's pretty much useless.

I rather have them release a console with mild specs and excellent development tools rather than an impossible to handle powerhouse. Good development tools make making games easier so more games end up being made, which is what we as consumers really want.

I don't really give a crap about the specs of a system, I just want ma games!

So basically what you're saying is PC gamers don't like action games. Which is irrelevant, we're talking about awesome graphics, and the PC in 2011 still has nothing that's even comparable to this, for example:
