Maybe if it was being made by Valve. Otherwise, there's a snake in my boot.

I don't think it's necessary, but I don't see the point in being against anything that isn't compulsory.

How so? As piracy is unauthorized duplication and distribution...

This is presently irrelevant to the current situation.

For a second there I thought you were talking about custom firmware and the like.

But yeah, totally. That's one of the biggest advantages PC gaming has over consoles.
Of course, any mod worth it's salt would have to be done using tools only available on the PC anyway, and I would imagine getting something like this sorted out would be a pain.

Yeah, it would be cool to have modding capabilities o certain games but consoles aren't as versitile as PC's

I would love to see a Super Mario Galaxy-type game with a mod community that compares with Little Big Planet.

In fact, if they designed it so you could make things easily with the tablet controller, it would pretty much be the best thing to ever happen to gaming. This is actually what I want most out the console. The ability to edit games like Mario, Zelda, Star Fox, 3rd party First Person shooters, etc and share your creations on the Nintendo Network. Kind of like the SSB:B level editor, but unique to each game and more robust.

I don't think we'll actually get this, but it would totally be the best way to take advantage of that controller. They should do it on the 3DS as well.
