Before the GameCube's release, Nintendo Power had an apology article for it being the GCN, stating NGC was already trademarked by another company or something.

Its the Nintendo Gamecube but abbreviated GCN. The Gamecube being abbreviated GC makes more sense.

I called it Gamecube. Two syllables. Not that hard. I do abbreviate it as GC because that's what it is. GCN is stupid in that aspect. Anyone that knows what games it plays knows that it was a Nintendo console.

I always called it a Gamecube.

No initials, nothing. Just Gamecube.

Wouldn't it be NGC instead since it's the Nintendo GameCube. Not GameCube Nintendo?
