Using those 8 vent holes as reference, they seem to be about the same size. One vent length to the closer edge and 3 vent lengths to the farther side.

Size isn't necessarily relative to power. The Gamecube was stronger than the PS2 yet smaller at the same time. Point is, just because the Wii U as allegedly larger than at E3 (looks like the same size to me) doesn't automatically mean it's more powerful than before.
