Pros

No motion controls
Nintendo First party games
Don't need a tv for all games

Cons

Weak for next gen system and potentially no next gen multiplats
Online still not comparable to psn/xbl
No new IPs from Nintendo (still)
Potentially awkward controller
Expensive last gen multiplats
Tablet Controller doesn't have many practical uses

I'll get back to you when I actually get a hold of the system for a more factual list.

I could speculate sure but theorycrafting and conjecture doesn't provide for a healthy discussion.

Pros:
-Backwards compatible with Wii.
-Backwards compatible with Wii accessories.
-Nintendo games, including a Pikmin title.
-Supports SD Cards, portable HDDs (and SSDs, I guess, if they make them), and USB memory sticks.
-Achievements in but not mandatory.
-For price, better online than XBL.

Cons:
-No GameCube backwards compatibility.
-Will likely be weaker than 720 & PS4.
-Small internal memory.
-Online still not comparable to PSN.
-Only supports 2 GamePads.

Pros.
B/C to all Wii games, most will be cheap expanding the Librabry of Wii games I've missed out on.
No more Friend codes.
Great new IP and Wii U games.
Looks like a promising Future Library.

Cons.
No GC B/C.
Region Locked.
