Games Radar recently for the opportunity to play Wii U at this years Gamescom and they didn’t come away impressed with the machine. The publication says that controller input lag was a problem, demo units were crashing, and Assassin’s Creed 3 looked unimpressive compared to the PlayStation 3 version. Having played it at Gamescom, I’m not convinced it’s all coming together as coherently and convincingly as you would hope for a console so close to being released into the wider world.
In terms of how the Wii U is being presented to the press so close to launch, the overall impression I took from the show is that the machine isn’t quite there yet. And at this late stage that’s a bit worrying.

The console is more than ready. One game not being ready isnt nintendo's fault.

It is kind of interesting that Games Radar is the only site to be claiming all of this... Hell, there were numerous posts on Neogaf about people coming away from Gamescom without a single word about these numerous crashes, input lag, and such... (These posts are not from huge fans of Nintendo either) /shrug We will find out more during the September conference soon.

It's not ready. We already know consoles are delayed in certain regions because of issues. Now this. They need to wait until 2013.

I'm realizing how similar anticipated video game-related releases and religion are...

... in both, you have extremists spouting from BOTH ends, pretending they know exactly what's going on. XD
