Ok people it's all pretty simple

GPU strength in order of Strongest to Weakest = Wii U>PS3>Xbox360

CPU strength in order of Strongest to Weakest = PS3>WiiU>Xbox360

Third party games are mostly developed on Xbox360 and then ported to the other consoles. Now if the Wii U is at half it's strength already and the weakest console can play the same game the Wii U is getting. It's safe to say the Wii U is less than 2x the power of an Xbox360, and only a little stronger than a PS3. I know I'll be getting a Wii U, but there's no arguing Nintendo is basically joining the current generation.

LMAO. The Power 7 CPU is far more powerful than the cell processor inside the PS3.

And you say that Wii U is less than 2x the power of the 360 & only a litle stronger than the PS3 because of playing the same game mostly without any effort & is only using half the power of the Wii U? You don't know what you're talking about. If anything, Wii U is stronger than either PS3 or 360, not weaker, & will prove to be the case when Nintendo & some 3rd party developers starts to take full advantage of the system's power.

Heck, Uncharted 1 used about 80% of the PS3's power, & have went all out with Uncharted 2. And Uncharted 3's graphics weren't that any better than UC 2.

The Wii U CPU is slighty weaker than the PS3 not noticeably, but still weaker. It's 96 GFLOPS vs. 100 GFLOPS while Xbox 360 is at 56GFLOPS. (actuals not theoretical)

The Wii has a great GPU it's about 0.5x stronger than PS3 400GLOPS(PS3) vs 600GFLOPS(Wii U) 240GFLOPS(Xbox 360)

Wii U has Power 7, but it's a custom chip for a video game console and it's weaker than the bottom line Power 7. It doesn't run 4 simultaneous threads, it runs 2.

Stop being blinded by fan boy-ism. You'll just be disappointed. It is the strongest of the 3 consoles sure, but in the same way PS3 is stronger than 360. You'll only see that extra graphical power in First party titles.

Edited: Nope that's false information. Sort of atleast, The PS3 graphics card has higher performance numbers. The 360 has eDRAM to rely on though, but at the same time the PS3's GPU gets help from it's CPU.

Yeah but it's cpu help doesn't count in a direct raw comparison.
