A series that's story has finished does not count. I'm talking something like a bad or controversially different game came out for it and it died, or the recent releases have been subpar games or ports and remakes.

The Mana Series used to be a huge success with Games like Secret of Mana and Seiken Densetsu 3. So yeah, new Mana Games would be awesome.

Um... Mega Man 9 and 10 came out this generation for multiple platforms! Profits aside, it's as "dead" as 2D Mario...

Except Capcom hates Mega Man now and the only game we're getting now is for iOS (pretty much means it'll be bad) instead of Mega Man Universe or Legends 3, both of which looked amazing.
