Question about the best TV to use for the Wii U...

#1LilMajerCartunePosted 8/31/2012 10:32:52 AM
I have a 40" 120hz 1080p LED Samsung TV... is this a good enough TV for the Wii U or do I need to get something else? I want the best quality picture out there for the U.

Make sure it has a Game Mode setting, and make sure you use it when playing console games. 120Hz HDTVs usually have frame interpolation that turns 60fps into 120fps, and due to how it works it will create massive display lag if not disabled with Game Mode.

Umm... the objective of this post was to find something that specifically hit the sweet spot with the Wii U... a 90 inch television is overkill, and not to mention the fact that that probably wouldn't even fit in my bedroom. lol

A 1080p will display the best visuals the best, but a 720p tv might look better for some games.

A 90" isn't overkill at all 1080P requires larger sets, at 42 the difference is almost irrelevant.
