Nintendo really does have the best IPs. As I've gotten older, my interest in games has faded drastically. I've become very picky, and most games now simply just don't appeal to me.

However, Nintendo games are different. They're colorful, imaginative, and generally relaxing to play. They tend to provide unique experiences that you almost never find anywhere else, spanning all kinds of genres.

And that is why, imo, they are the best in the world. They've been consistently creating amazing experiences for easily over 20 years now, and that's not something any other dev in my memory can lay claim to.
