I'm sorta glad I get to see the Wii U details in a more localised format... but not entirely...

Is this normal to have multiple conferences worldwide to discuss what ONE conference could address?

I was hyped to be watching the whole Reggie blasting the Wii U details into my face in a thick creamy sauce of excitement thing, but now I gotta watch the King of Nintendo Europe politely shovel me my Nintynews... Slightly bummed they're not making a huge deal of this conference...

Well, the New York thing is an event people can go to to preorder and try out the Wii U alongside the announcement. The NDirect feed will discuss what Europe will be getting and when scheduled after the NY event. The Japan even is supposed to happen before the NY event but nothing has been said yet.
