I refuse to pre-order from GameStop because of what they did when the Wii launched years back. They were told by their Corporate to lie to consumers and say they didn't have any in stock and to make up information about when they'd receive new shipments in order to build up more hype and make more sales when they finally did "get them" and it's sickening that it's okay for them to do this.

Any word when Amazon will offer hardware pre-orders?

Jeez go pre-order at bestbuy. Their shipping is probably just as good as Amazon, also free.
growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional

Someone from the forums talked to an Amazon rep, and they said to check in a week. In the meantime, I'd pre order from GS or BB and cancel if it becomes available from Amazon and you're still interested.
