Nintendo missing the resolution mark again.

4k resolution is coming and coming fast. Sony's XBR-84X900 4K LED TV $24,999.99. Yeah wow that's expensive, but it's a good sign. within 4 years these things will be pricing closer to $2,500. Not to mention feature stripped versions in the $1,000 dollar range. At least 1080P won't look like crap in 4k TVs like 480p does on HDTVs.

I'll stick with my 70" 1080p thank you very much.

Besides, by the time these hit mass market levels, Nintendo will be prepping a new system for launch.

Theirs a difference, when 4k really starts happening it will be 2014, if the PS4 releases i will most likely be the only one doing it while the Wii U and Xbox 720 are 1080p, but it won't matter because no game next gen will be native 4k.

Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft = Epic

I honestly could care less for 4K. I'm sure it looks nice but... whatever.

Well in 10 years when they are affordable to the general consumer, I'm sure its possible Nintendo will include 4k resolution in whatever console they release next.

I don't think they missed the mark with anything this time around.

It won't be the native. At least not until the 9th generation of consoles. I have no use for 4K.

I consider Gamecube with composite cables on an hdtv passable, this really doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Really? because the Wii and Gamecube (I still have both) kind of annoy me on the HDTV I've actually setup an SDTV on a island in my guest room just to avoid how the look when set to wide screen.

Are you using the right cables?
It may be that your TV is just garbage. But, 480p on a 1080p screen really isn't that bad. Though, not that many GameCube games actually do 480p...

Also, lolz@SATA drives. You see, they make these things called "heat," which kills consoles.
