Thanks for the link. Sorry if I sounded biased, I really do like both companies, I've been a fan of Amazon ever since I realized their prices often dropped before GameStop, and they have a bunch of exclusive preorder bonuses. Now I get most of my games at Amazon, and I'm even a "Prime" member, so I was obviously upset when I couldn't order the Wii U there. Don't take my word for it though, the link above clearly explains everything (better than I did) in a very fair way.

Nintendo refused to let Amazon sell unsold 3ds inventory at a discount, and amazon retaliated by marking large quantities of their 3ds inventory defective and either selling them at "warehouse discounts" and sending some back to Nintendo.
