Super Mario Bros 4

Let me see if I'm following this correctly. The "New Super Mario Bros." series consists of nothing but rehashes, and therefore Nintendo should instead release "Super Mario Bros. 4".

Therefore, if Nintendo were to rename "New Super Mario Bros. U" to "Super Mario Bros. 4", it would not be a rehash.

a) Debating about opinions is a waste of my time. If you think the game was bad, that's your prerogative, but don't fool yourself into thinking your opinion is fact.

b) I think the games were very creative. I like that they took inspiration from the classics. I mean, hell, how many people are complaining that Super Mario Galaxy 2 took ideas from its prequel?

c) And what the hell does "casualized" mean? Where do people like you come up with crap like this? Seriously. If there was something 'casual' in NSMB that was not so in the originals, please point it out. If you're claiming it was too easy, I'll raise you a 9-7 NSMBW, the hardest Mario Bros level I ever played in my life and walk away laughing.

d) Your insistence and obsession with the number 4 is entertaining. If New Super Mario Bros was named Super Mario Bros 4, would you have liked it more?

e) Super Mario World wasn't called "Super Mario Bros 4", but it didn't have to be. It was a direct sequel in spirit, and if by some freak chance you've never played the game, stop posting garbage threads on this board and pick it up today. It will be everything you ever dreamed of and more.

a) of course it isn't. the problem though is it is the popular opinion

b) there's half as many Galaxy games as NSMB games. However, even though both Galaxy and Galaxy 2 are piss poor subpar compared to Mario 64, they still both feel like they're attached to SM64.

c) casualized means games made for the fun of the whole family! games your grannie and soccer mom can beat. games made for the mainstream sheople, like Clone of Duty and Failo.

d) not what i am saying at all. what I am saying is that either they do not have the confidence to call any new Mario game SMB4 because they just can't make a new one that is good enough but also, that if they made a SM4 then they would put a lot more effort into it rather than a lazy cash grab rehash reca$h.

e) I finished it several times, years and years ago. i do not like it very much. one of my least favorite Marios ever.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Mario_World

fact is it was super mario 4 for its original japanese release they just dropped it for the american version.

I see that it is called:

Super Mario World: Super Mario Bros 4

it is not called:

Super Mario Bros 4

So, you lose.

Also, I would love to ask you, so is Final Fantasy IV titled as 'Final Fantasy IV' or is it really 'Final Fantasy II'?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy_IV

Anyhow, if it is not titled Super Mario Bros 4 in the US and people in the US wouldn't know WTF you were talking about, no, no it is not titled 'Super Mario Bros 4'.

Anyhow...

I WANT A SUPER MARIO BROS 4

No...you can try and squirm out of it but the fact is you were proven wrong in a spectacular fashion. You said simply that you did not see a 4 anywhere in that title when it was right there.

To put it simply: You lose, good day sir.

I'll say to you exactly what I say to all the Sonic fans that keep asking for Sonic Adventure 3, Just giving it a title of a past game won't instantly make it good.

Yoshi's Island = Super Mario World 2

which implies:

sequel to Super Mario World

Huh, how is it not Super Mario Bros 4: Yoshi's Island??

So let me get this straight.

If SMW is called Super Mario World: Super Mario Bros. 4 (only in Japan), it doesn't count.

Yet if Yoshi's Island is called Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (only in AMERICA), it counts? OK, whatever.
