New Super Mario Bros is a prime example of a yearly release.

New Super Mario Bros. - 2006
New Super Mario Bros. Wii - 2009
New Super Mario Bros. 2 - 2012

That doesn't look yearly to me.

You forgot:

New Super Mario Bros U - 2012

Still seems more like a systemly (is this a real word?) release to me.

Whatever it is, it certainly isn't a yearly release.

#2 and U are the first ones to launch this early in the systems life, you can bet your ass they are going to make more on the same systems too. They've already started DLC for #2

You should have added, "In my opinion" in the beginning of the title, dooder.

Anyway, I actually think ZombiU, Rayman, and Pikmin 3 look amazing. The mario game is like, meh.

NSMBDS released less than two years after the DS released. Remember when they made another NSMB on the DS? Oh wait, they didn't.

And the fact that they are making DLC for the games outright states that they're not going to make another whole game of NSMB until the Wii U or 3DS' successor rolls along.

Except they've explicitly stated they won't be doing that.

Hey guys! He thinks that when someone makes DLC it means there won't be a sequel! Better tell that to...

Activision
Ubisoft
Microsoft Studios
SCEA
Konami
Capcom
2K Games
And nearly every other game company, lol

Looks fun, don't think that's a launch title though.
