Online functionality means NOTHING. Dreamcast was the first console to have online and a built in web browser and it pulled an ultra fail.

SNES was Nintendo's first console with online multiplayer. The NES was their first console with online functions.
People forget GCN had online as well.
GCN only had LAN, not online.
