Am I the only one who thinks nobody's going to be affected by this?

Hardcore gamers plug their controllers in to the console to reduce lag.
Casual gamers don't play for 3+ hours at a time.

...unless the controller can't plug into the console, in which case, yeah, it sucks.

*Plugs in AC adapter*

*Continues playing*

*Sees no problem whatsoever*

I thought the allure of having a screen on the controller was "playing anywhere in the house"? Now it's "play anywhere in the house... for 3 hours, then you are chained to the wall like a bad dog".

dont be a no-lifer and play games literally all day.

3 hours is all day? It's only 1/8th of a day, but k

I forget, what was the response of 3DS and Vita owners when they were told their portable gaming devices had such a short leash?

This is a controller for in house gaming where there are cords to plug it in while you play if it runs low on juice. It also seems to have a shorter charging time than the above examples, so I really dont understand the hoopla.

Besides, this has been known for some time now, are people still upset over that 4800 in sales?

short battery life effects people who arent in the habit of charging things as soon as they are done more than people who will actually play for more than 4+ hours.

same as with my 3DS, I dont think i've ever played for more than an hour or so, but that doesnt mean i want to go grab my charger and plug it in every time i'm done, especially when more charges = shorter battery life.

Dont forget that "core" gamers will probably use that other controller with 80 hours of charge over this controller cuz it's more "core."

Draining the battery to zero hurts more than charging all the time, because the system cuts the battery and uses the energy from the outlet, so is not charging, like the 3DS is meant to be all the time (when not in use) in the cradle....

TC probably didn't realize it could be plugged in. Now that this piece of information has been revealed, this thread probably isn't necessary anymore.

Really, you should probably take breaks after playing for 3-5 hours straight anyways, but I'm not going to judge you either way.
