Welcome me to the happy WiiU family. I'vs had my WiiU reserved on Layaway at Walmart and as a hardcore gamer I am very excited about the Tablet controller that you can play games nearly anywhere. How many brand new consoles play games in 1080p on a high definition TV and come with a tablet with a high quality 6.2 inch widescreen to play games anywhere you can plug the console in. I am a Ninja Gaiden fan so I like the idea that I can play Ninja Gaiden Razors Edge as well as Bayonetta 2 at a camping trip with a ac adapter converter connected to my car. Honestly I am no fanboy of any console. I started gaming in 1988 with the Sega Master System. Recently I was a dedicated Xbox360 & PlayStation 3 gamer but Nintendo has me excited about the WiiU. I can play WiiU games like Ninja Gaiden 3 Razors Edge literally anywhere I go even at a campfire. I have not been so excited about a Nintendo console since the Super Nintendo

So you're saying you can play anywhere you can plug in the system but without a TV?

What about the games that don't support off TV play? I'm fairly certain Ninja Gaiden doesn't support that feature.

How many people are going to pass over the rest of what someone says and repeat this?
He said that he can plug the Wii U itself into an outlet and play on the pad (at least the games that will allow it). Haven't seen anyone make the claim that you can take the pad anywhere without the system. No one is making the system out to be an iPad or 3DS type of product in terms of portability.

Edit: What I can agree with is that people are a little misinformed about which games can be placed on the pad, and which one's can't. Not all of them can do it.

Nowhere did I even say its a portable. If you take the time to 'read' my post, I posted that its a new console that plays on all 1080p TVs and anywhere on the Tablet screen with electricity to power the console

Thank you Burgertime and NINJA GAIDEN 3 RAZORS EDGE is confirmed to be playable on the Tablet 'without a tv'. No TV is needed to play Razors Edge

Actually, this raises an inetersting question: Can you take the tablet outside your home and still play Wii U games on it? What's the range? I thought it communicated via bluetooth and if that's the case I doubt you could take the tablet on a road trip and still be able to play games on it... Right?

Oh sorry, I misread the TC's post... He said take the console as well and plug it in.

But I'm still curious about the tablet's range from the console.

I think the range is 24 feet for best performance. But it also depends on how your house is constructed and what walls might be in the path of the system to the controller.
