Or you just need a RCA in coaxial out converter.

Honestly, the Wii U is a new system, and thats an old TV, but the standard cables are not hdmi yet.

I don't know one person who still has an SDTV. they are no longer the "standard' no matter how old or cheap or poor you are. I thriftstore hunt and I've seen more HDTVs at the thrift stores then old SDTVs (mostly because thriftstores don't accept sdtvs because no one wants them)

Na SDTV are ancient items now, you could only find them at Thrift stores or at a pawn shop somewhere. There affordable if you just want to keep em to play the classics but if you only want advance stuff HD is the way to go.
