Are there any popular/beloved games that you just can't stand?

HALO. To me it looks like every other FPS sci fi game I played (b4 it was released.) Unreal was my favorite yet not many people know about it (the real game, not the tournament crap ones.)

Any and every Final Fantasy game after 6. Sony Ponies didn't even get in until 7, yet they think they can say which one was the best.

Gaming is like a pair of boobs - Sony and Microsoft fight over whos boobs look more realistic, while Nintendo is about having fun with them - Walkiethrougie

kingdom hearts and the persona games. ESPECIALLY the persona games.

I don't like DotA and its clones. People give CoD a lot of ****, but to me, most if not all DotA style games don't seem much different from each other.

I also can't stomach the Tales of series with the exception of Vesperia and Legendia.

Final Fantasy 10

Every GTA game - though I can at least respect the series

Assassin's Creed - watching a friend play through the first two, made me want to strangle him and then play Mirror's Edge to wash away the horrid gameplay

Xenogears

More recently, Dishonored and Uncharted 3 - though I don't know if those are at beloved/popular status quite yet

Zero need to insult people.
Plenty of Final Fantasy fans who became fans after VII went back and played the older games in the series.
I was aware of the series, but never really played until VII. Never had an SNES back then, and the rental store didn't carry the NES one. As much as the first game is a classic, and VI is debated as a masterpiece, I still love IX. Currently I own every game in the series in some form or another. Even found a Japanese copy of FFV complete with it box for cheap.
A Final Fantasy song was even part of my wedding 2 years ago.
