Hilarious to see the 'console tax' so blatantly in this example

Its the same damn game, yet its 30 dollars on PC. Pretty sure PC will have a similar multiplayer over steam or some jazz.

Consoles needs to either adapt and drop the stupid $60 overcharging, or just plain die. This is beyond a joke at this point.

While I'm not a huge fan of some PC games forcing a steam install if you buy the physical copy from a store, and I dont terribly like some of the terribly drm rules steam has over a users library, theres plenty of easy workarounds to ensure you retain and have control over your games.

I'd honestly love to see steam just dominate and destroy the console space. The notion of buying slab of hardware upon slab of hardware taking up more and more shelf space, losing backwards compatibility and having to rebuy your old games as 'HD editions' and all this other garbage that comes with the console world, is antiquated, archaic and the whole thing just needs to be killed off.

The pc is such a better platform for gaming. Better game prices, better sales, no BC issues, its already a media hub and does it better, hook up any usb controllers and go to town, output to any hdtv for couch play, almost all games are built to scale to your hardware so no one is FORCED to buy new hardware usually to play a newer title. Not to mention its a totally open platform, free of stupid console licensing fees and such as well.

I really hope to god the industry folks saying this next cycle is the last end up being right. The idea of consoles is so goddamn obsolete at this point its not even funny. No one should have to buy 3 separate goddamn expensive pieces of hardware to play all the games. That bull just doesn't fly anymore

A little brash but I definitely agree. I have 77 Steam games--many of them bought at launch using GMG or Steam itself and I only spent $1340 which is approximately $17 per game.

PC version is better in every way, typing with the keyboard will make up for the only flaw I've found with the series.

$30 for PC, or $60 for Wii U...

Why do they charge so much more for consoles? I never understood it...

There are "licensing costs" when putting games on consoles, and they know that the console sheep will pay that price.

IIRC the wiiu one has Nintendo characters in it while the 3DS ones doesn't.

I was going to get this on Wii U, but it's twice the price of the PC version, which will be on Steam. Besides Nintendo characters, are there any substantial differences?

That is the only difference (outside of price). The PC version supports Steam workshop as people mentioned so there is nothing stopping people from remaking those Nintendo characters for the PC.

The 3DS version does not have the Object Creator. Not sure about the PC version.

PC version does have the object creator, and a superior method of sharing.
