Also, apparently they've said no games on USB flash drives, so flash drives and SD cards with USB adapters are useless. I feel sorry for anyone that bought a flash drive or SD card for the Wii U only to have them finally spring it on us in the final week that the SD slot is only for backwards compatibility with the Wii and that the USB is only good for hooking up a HDD. I was just about to get a 32 GB SD card for this thing -- glad I didn't.

actually it was mistranslated you can indeed use a flash drive to put games on. sd card still no. cant post a link as im on my 3ds, its on neogaf though

8GB = 7.2GB, 32GB = 29GB in terms of actual save data. Wii U uses around 4.2GB when using the system for the first time.

As in, it does not when you use it the second time?

I think that means after system updates it will use even more.

nintendo, why are you oh-so obsessed with trying to kill the hype days before launch? i remember back in january last year when all the crap about how 3ds was region locked, still had friend codes and had crap battery life was released and it was pushing people away from it.

So you rather not be informed about a product before you get it?

No offence, Nintendo is way behind when it comes to technical stuff.

Who cares. If you're not planning to download any games 3.2 gigs will hold like 5000 saves at the absolute minimum. If you are, you needed an external HD anyway because many games are 15+ gigs.

Nintendo should have released this info months ago, so they could have "re-hyped" people on the Wii U after hearing bad news, but they release bad info so close to release day it certainly effects purchasing decisions more than releasing the info months ago would have.
