by the way, if they DO sell your wiiu, you will never know! They will just say they didn't get all their orders in. Even complaining wouldn't do anything! sorry :<

Actually you're wrong. Pre orders are a way to secure you get the console on day one. Gamestop has a policy that you have 48 hours to pick it up. Best Buy is 5 days and so on. the way pre orders are done now at days is companies tell the resellers this amount is for pre sales and this amount is for walk ins. They do it to avoid what used to happen of pre selling more than the amount that came to the stores.

So, if a store sells 30 preorders and only gets seven units, what does that do for your whole argument?

They signed a contract with you when you pre-ordered, they are obligated to follow it. If they don't you may sue them. According to precedents of similar cases I've seen, you might be able to get between $700 and $2,000 plus legal costs.

No, they didn't.

Care to link to some of that "precedent?"

they would still tell you this is what happened though. you would have a hard time proving them wrong as well

The problem would be that they'd call to confirm he could pick it up first. Then he'd have proof that they had enough to go around.
