Hey guys,
Anyone have any advice on how to get my hands on a Wii U on launch date? I've been slacking lately, and I'm afraid I'm going to pay the price for not preordering one earlier in the year. I'm willing to wait in line, but have no idea what stores will have excess in stock after filling preorders. I'm in St. Louis and willing to fork over the $350 for the upgraded model.

Anyways, I have plenty of Walmarts, Targets, and Best Buys around so I'm going to call tomorrow, but any advice is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Fellow Gamer

Try K-Mart if you have one. Not many people think of K-Mart. Call and see if they are getting any in. If they are, camp out.

go here and look up Illinois http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Wii-U/Wii-U-Consoles/pcmcat274600050016.c?id=pcmcat274600050016 they have best buys with midnight releases. I am assuming the bestbuys with midnight releases will be receiving many more copies of the wiiu then a normal best buy. (I say Illinois because there is no wiiu midnight launch at any bestbuy in Missouri )

Touch one.
Everybody was willing to forget about it but not me. I did some snooping around, found some chow hound had made a wax impression of the ice box key.

EbonMagician,
Thanks much for the advice, but I checked the nearest location in Illinois and it's roughly 6 hours away, which is simply too much money away in gas. I'd rather camp out overnight then have to drive 12 hours for the system. And yes, I'll definitely call KMart tomorrow morning. Thanks for the heads up!

Many places sell pre order card and supplies are limited... I'd call around and see if anybody has any pre orders left.

I just happened to call my local target and they had some white preorder wii u cards left, however its still first come first server, you just need a card to purchase it.
So because Target is not doing a midnight release, I'm just going to go up there when they open at about 9am to get mine.

I would rather buy the deluxe edition but because I cannot find any I am just going for the white wii-u. Which doesn't bother me too much to be honest.

Try this link: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_05843253000P?adCell=W3&adCell=W3

See if your local Sears store has any by typing in the zip code.
