What games, other than racers, have truly used analog triggers to a full extent?
I was thinking that. I can't remember any moment in any first person shooter where I have actually needed pressure sensitive triggers.
The only games I've ever needed them are racing games. I'll be honest, I didn't read the entire article, I couldn't be bothered, but he said he was going to test his "theory", and I'm not sure what he plans to test, but I can't see him being right. --- "If you've got yourself a dream, work hard, believe in yourself because I know dreams can come true."- Dennis DeYoung 1997
Not for FPS. That article is just f***ing dumb. Almost every single FPS does not use the sensitivity of the triggers. You just press the left one to fully zoom or throw a grenade or whatever. You press the right one to shoot. And like someone said before here, it's just clicking for the PC.
Seriously, it's been a while since I saw and article this stupid -__- --- Read the mania: http://www.fanfiction.net/~nonexistinghero In SA2, it's Super Sonic and Hyper Shadow.
Real snipers can't just use a trigger to adjust their sights, so we'll probably have to use the touch screen to manually adjust, which is more realistic and WAY MORE HARDCORE! I love it! :) --- President of the CloudStrife630 fan club! I live only to serve you, my liege!
I can understand criticizing the lack of analog triggers for something like the racing genre...but for the FPS, really? I thought for sure they'd say something about the stick placement, but no, this entire article was about the triggers. Last time I checked the buttons on my mouse weren't pressure sensitive.
It threw me for just as big a loop as the topic title did.
