Post a Picture of Your Wii U and Your Setup!

There's 2 main reasons for it. The first is, that my SD TV is still working fine and when I have looked at HD TVs, I did not see enough of a difference in the picture quality that made me feel like I needed to get one, especially when I watch very little TV. That's not to say that I'm not aware that HD has better picture quality. But I did not feel like it was worth it to spends several hundred dollars to replace a TV that is still doing its job nicely. I'm rather low on money already as it is, and the WiiU will still work just fine on my TV even if the picture isn't top notch.

The second reason is that I currently live in a situation where it's not very feasible to get a flat-screen TV. I would not be able to mount or secure it in my current living enviornment, and I have 2 cats that love to knock things off of shelves and dressers. Being that in my current living arrangments I would not be allowed to secure it to the walls or furniture, it would simply be sitting on top of a dresser. The cats cannot knock a large SD TV off of the dresser, but they would love to knock a small flat screen off. In about 7 months when I will hopefully be moving to a different location, and will be able to utalize my living space without limitations, it will be more feasible to consider getting an HD TV if I so choose.

To the person who asked, I would guess I've spent over 4k on Skylanders. I buy 3 of every figure, but have gone overboard on the games themselves. Dig this -

^^ why 3 of them? I mean, It would make more sense to buy one to use and one to collect no? what's the third one for? in case you sell it later on? ..

On a side note, how is darksiders II on the Wii U? I loved it on my 360 and was interested in how it plays on the Wii U...

I myself have the following games for the Wii U

New Super Mario Bros. U
Nintendoland
Mass Effect 3
ZombiU
Skylanders Giants
Scribblenauts Unlimited
Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two
Call of Duty Black Ops II
Transfoermes Prime
Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed

Each Skylander has two upgrade paths. You can only choose one. I didn't feel like resetting the character each time I wanted to play a particular upgrade path, so I bought 3 of each. 2 to open, one for each upgrade path, and 1 to hang on my wall.

As for my TF's, if you notice, they are from War/Fall of Cybertron. They are technically videogame characters, which is why I have them displayed next to Raziel from Soul Reaver, and Ratcher & Clank.

Kids also wouldn't have old school Mega Man figures, 8-bit sprites of Snake Man and Cut Man, or old school - late 90's - Bandai Rock Man X model kits all over his wall. :P

people are hating on him for liking a game? Jesus....

You do realize I have friends who are 30+ who still love pokemon? Like actually love the series/games/anime/etc....

This younger generation is ignorant as ****. I'll post my setup if I can get my camera to work ever, it thinks the sd card is locked all the time(parts lose..) I actually have a "game room" with anything that isn't HD (snes/gamecube/wii/ps2 etc) plastered with toys etc and then my "grownup game room" with my wiiU/ps3/360 downstairs... I think I can rustle up the link for my upstairs gameroom...gimmie a sec.

^ So there is a lot more added since those were taken, but this was the start of my classic game room, I made all the pixel sprites myself with perler beads. I'll take pics of my "grownup" setup tonight after work if I remember :D

I'm in Canada actually. I just import more than I probably should, that and I've taken a couple trips to Japan.

I import 'cause the selections seem to be tons better and I've been learning Japanese for years now.

That and I've that collection has taken about 5 years at least to get to where it is now.

I'm also not the sole income and owner of them.. My fiance has helped pay for a chunk of them.

Lucky. My Japanese isn't good enough to justify too many imports just yet. I have less than a dozen currently.

Maybe you could help out with the project in my sig?

I'm still actually not terribly good myself. I can understand enough words here and there that when playing games,

I can understand the words at the beginning and end of a sentence and piece together the rest based on what the characters are doing.

Kanji is still something I'm not good at, but I'm mostly fully able to write all Hiragana and Katakana.

Playing games that have voices and/or CG cutscenes are easier for me to do because I find I pick up more Japanese listening and reading it at the same time than I do read or listening separately... but I'm still only so far, I'm not fluent yet and probably won't reach that for quite a while yet.
