Also, it's not a 5 gig update (only 1), but it still takes many people a long time.

Some people say it's 5 and some people say it's 1, The Wii U Basic wouldn't have much room left if it's 5.

Mine never worked. I plugged everything in and it just sits there blinking blue.

It's not 5. The OS is 5 GB, the update is not.

Hopefully they fix the power outage problem.

Really, Nintendo is taking this piracy thing way too far.

When anti piracy measures start becoming a hassle for paying customers, you are doing it wrong.

Yeah. Most power outages ever. I will bet that it IS true that if you turn your system off like an impatient idiot that your system will brick. How many power outages were there today? I have one maybe every 3-6 months. How about you? What are the chances that 1000s of people just happened to have a "power outage" at the time the system was updating.

Not all, but I guarantee you, many of these people got impatient or for one reason or another tried to power off the system and anyone that knows anything about hardware, knows this can be a fatal blow.

If not, this just happened to be the biggest power outage in history from 11am-1pm on a Sunday.

Due to how long the update takes, there probably are a lot of people turning it off in the middle of the update causing their Wii U to brick.

The issue is, there's a very LARGE system update that you have to go through (I think I read something like 5 gigs?). If you turn your system off during this mandatory update, like any mandatory update, your system bricks.

It's not 5 gigs, not even close. Someone actually measured their bandwith, it's even less than 1 Gig. The problem is that everyone is trying to update at once.

Nope, don't have a sig. Maybe later.
