Accounts tied to console for the moment. Not going to be forever.
Storage space is open source. I have a 2 TB external attached to mine.

Try harder, troll.

Hidden costs?

Also, you probably have a DVD player to watch movies.

So you have all that clutter: Wii U, harddrive, DVD player.

I have an Xbox 360. Period. I have an all-in-one solution, you pay more.

DVD players are so old fashioned. Streaming media is where it's at today. As for cluttering things up the wii u and hard drive still would take up less space than the 360

Hopefully, but there's nothing to suggest that it's going to change. All the support page says (or said, I can't seem to access it right now) is/was "in the future, you will be able to use your Nintendo Network ID with future Nintendo consoles and other devices, such as PCs". "Future Nintendo consoles" doesn't seem to imply anything about being able to log on using other Wii Us.

lol

so you actually PAY for online service on top of your ISP fees?!

troll harder dude.

Wii's online was free and sucked big time. Wii U's online community is dead from the start (seriously, look at the player numbers), so any random guy in a garage could maintain that.

Compared to the seven year old Xbox 360, the Wii U has:

-Less games - Wrong
-Less storage space - Correct
-Less RAM speed - Correct. Not like it matters
-Weaker CPU - Apparently correct
-Accounts tied to console - To be fixed on 2013
+Higher price point - $399 vs $349/$299...yeah...higher...

You don't have a computer? What are you typing this on then? You do realize it takes a simple $2 cord to plug your computer into your tv and display it on that, right? Hell, the only reason I have a Blu-ray player is because I don't have a Blu-ray drive in my computer.
