I shut mine off because I was too impatient and had to go to college. Is my Wii U bricked now? Or is there a chance that it's still good?

This is what happens to *any* computer when a major OS update gets suddenly stopped half-way through. There's a reason why PCs, the PS3, the 3DS, and pretty much everything else warns you not to power down the machine during updates. When you are left with a messy half-rewritten operating system, the computer stops working correctly.

I'm sorry to say but yeah, its bricked... I'ts like deleting half of Windows/Mac then tryingbto run the computer. Firmware updates are sensative because its dealing with the OS

I've done it to my Wii and PS3 plenty of times before and I never got a bricked system. Are you guys 100% sure?

Probably. There is a pretty big chance that it bricked. You should have just left it on.

Then dont worry. It only happens if you turn it off during installation.

So then why is everyone making a big deal out of it? Installation is a LOT quicker than downloading.
