Just gonna put this here since apparently anything any dev says is the word of god in this thread. So far as devs go I don't think it gets anymore high profile than Valve, oh and I know he recanted these words later but that doesn't matter cause he said them and devs never change their opinions in this thread and they never learn to utilize a console's power later.

MGS 3D is released.
A badly ported PS2 game.
Senor blames it on the 3DS.

Monster Hunter 3G is released.
An improved Wii (More powerful than PS2) game.

Hmm.

Squatch just replied to himself... this is proof the guy has mental issues (if anyone doubted it before).

Ah, Senor flaming again. No shock.
It tends to happen whenever he is proven wrong.

Squash why do you keep posting that failed picture?

Nintendo isn't printing money right now, it just lost 500 million dollars.

Hmmm... who to trust...

There are more companies commenting on the weakness of the CPU than there are commenting on how strong it is. Stop cherry picking things to make yourself feel better.

Dude I swear your posts always make me do a double-take.

Take your own advise is what I am trying to say.
______

on topic God Nintendo release the specs already.

Slow CPU
Slow RAM

They never will, for this reason.

It's been all but confirmed that it's a multi-core, overclocked Wii CPU. Old news. The real news is that the GPU isn't nearly as bad as it could have been...so we can have awesome visuals as long as there's not too much going on the screen at the same time or the AI isn't too intense.

so it has good GPU, bad ram and bad CPU? wouldnt the ram and CPU just bottleneck the potential of the GPU?

ding ding ding give this man a medal...why they would do this is beyond me. Someone at Nintendo didn't quite understand how to build a balanced system. It's like slapping a gtx 680 in an old core 2 duo system from 2005...what's the point?

Disclaimer!
*Of course the GPU in the Wii u isn't close to a 680, I was just using an exaggeration to illustrate a point.*

They probably went the route of the overclocked Wii CPU because it was the cheapest way they could include backwards compatibility without including separate chips with the system.
