If Sony of Msoft show off new consoles at E3...

What software would Nintendo reveal in order to steal the show?

Just speaking theoretically and subjectively here.

What would just blow you away completely? talking 1st or 3rd Party titles

Not much they could show honestly, new hardware reveals usually eclipse software showings.

they can steal the show with a new Mario game (not a new Super Mario game). Something that had the same impact as Mario 64 and Galaxy. They're not going to blow anyone away with the hardware. They need to make a statement with their games.

I know, hardware always shines a brighter light....

but to avoid being cast into the abyss there must be some software (new IP's / Resurfaced gems) that could astonish and bewilder the audience in amazement to help keep momentum going

Nothing they could do to steal the show against PS4 or the next Xbox.

There's one thing, possibly.

If they ever created a new, brutally violent IP. Perhaps a dark action game or such. First party gruesome action.

Everybody would be buzzing over the new dark part of Nintendo then.

But that will probably never happen

I hope Sony announces the PS4 next year. I'm ready! To answer your question, I'm on the side with nothing they could do to steal the show. Hardware announcements > Software announcements.

Nintendo doesn't have the ability to make games like that.
