I have bought 6 Wii U deluxes on launch. The system I used would freeze once in a awhile than buzz until I took the power cord out. Gave my bros both a Wii U as a early christmas gift yesterday. One had no issues and the other would freeze like mine.

So we both opened up new consoles and I returned the ones that would freeze. After plaing on each for long periods of time after replacing the consoles we have three that never freeze now.

So 5 systems opened and used and 2 were faulty. Just thought I would share.

Mine only froze when i played nintendo land. I'll try out another wii u game to see if it reaaly is just a problem with that game.

I bought one Deluxe and it doesn't freeze, nor do I have a single dead/stuck pixels on my Gamepad, or any other defects. Win win for me.

I'm guessing it's an issue that can be fixed with an update; but it's too early to say.

You bought 6 Wii U's at launch? I'm sorry but I'm gonna have to call shenanigans on that.

I bought my deluxe yesterday and was fine until about 3 hrs ago. My friend came over to check out the console and I booted up nintendo land and it froze and buzzed like tc said. It happened 4 times in a row. However Netflix and New SMB wii u worked fine! So I'm guessing it's a Nintendo land issue and not a console issue.

Mine has frozen once on BO2, once launching the web browser, and once launching Miiverse. Never made a buzzing noise. Not too worried.. Nintendo has no track record of launching defective products. They can probably fix via update whatever is wrong.

Mine has only froze during Nintendo Land like others have said. I blame Nintendo Land, not my console.
